The Kenya Police Service has established a new unit to help preserve the highways and enforce traffic in the country. The officers will be attached to Kenya National Highways Authority.

In a speech read on behalf of the Deputy Inspector General of the Kenya Police Service Mr. Edward N. Mbugua, MBS, OGW, ndc (K) by the Coast Region Police Commander Mr. Noah Mwivanda, OGW –AIG  during the official opening of an induction training for officers attached to Kenya National Highways Authority, at Mombasa Beach hotel on Monday 9th April, 2018,  the DIG-KPS said that globalization has transformed the world’s economy and as a result, it has tremendously increased industry’s demand for the rapid and timely delivery of goods.
